OmniSense does periodic over the air firmware updates which are transparent to the user so normally no action is required by customers to get the latest firmware updates.
Our "power users" and distributors can use their group login to push a firmware update manually. To do this the gateway must already be powered on and online. Then follow these steps:
- login with your group login.
- navigate to the company account that owns the gateway
- navigate to the gateway via the job site page using the "gateway" button. IMPORTANT - the gateway MUST be assigned to a job site. Do NOT navigate to the gateway using the Gateways link on the upper left.
- Click on the gateway ID to open a new window which will show the gateway's current firmware revision. Make a note of it so that you can verify it changes to a higher number after the update. As of this post the most current firmware is 4.55. Minimize this page and go back to the "gateway select" page.
- Navigate to the gateway details page using the "edit" button
- Click the "Update Firmware" button.
- CRITICAL - DO NOT UNPLUG GATEWAY DURING FIRMWAR UPDATE
- go back to the "gateway details" window from step 4 and refresh to confirm the firmware revision has changed and gone up. CRITICAL - DO NOT UNPLUG GATEWAY UNTIL YOU HAVE CONFIRMED THAT THE UPDATE HAS HAPPENED.
